Forging die material reference

1. Hot forging die steels include: H13,1.2344 H21, LG, 8566. Among them, 8566 has good high temperature resistance, using hardness HRC58-60, high hardness and good wear resistance. The toughness of LG mold steel is very good, and the hardness is HRC54-56. H13 is currently the most commonly used medium-grade hot work die steel in China.

2. Cold forging die steel: DC53, LD, 8566 die steel.

You can also use D2,1.2379, 1.2714, H13,1.2344, H11,1.2343 etc.

Die steel is used to manufacture cold stamping dies, hot forging dies, die-casting dies and other die steel grades. It is also common to use Gr12 to make forging dies, and the toughness of Gr12 is better. In addition, when making forging dies, it is best to add a pattern to the cavity of the mold by thermal expansion and contraction, so as to prevent the mold from cracking.
