Din 1.2344 Steel is a high quality Hot work tool steel, and it belongs to the high quality high carbon alloy tool steel. And Oil Quench & Temper Hardness is 45 HRC. And DIN 1.2344 steel Annealing delivery hardness less than 250HB.

Hot work tools made of H13 material can be safely water cooled in hot work use where thermal shock cracking is not an issue. Its resistance to thermal fatigue, erosion, and wear makes it the mold material of choice for aluminum and magnesium die castings, as well as many other hot working applications. However, H13 metal is subject to hydrogen embrittlement and can be nitrided for additional wear resistance.

DIN 1.2083 is typical Stainless Chrome Plastic Mold Steel. German die steel 1.2083 is a chromium content up to 13% of the plastic die steel. 1.2083 mold steel has good polishing and excellent wear resistance, is often used to prevent acid plastic mold.

C45 steel general purpose medium carbon steel delivered in as rolled condition. It can be further heat treated to achieve specific mechanical properties. The 0.45% carbon content is not favorable for welding. However, it can be weld with appropriate pre and post weld heat treatment. Surface hardness of 57~62 HRC can be achieved with cast hardening to a depth of approximately 1mm. Used for most transmission and motor parts of medium strength. Case hardened parts such as camshafts, gears, rocking levers etc. Simple hand tools and various types of fasteners and fixtures, machinery parts and components with medium stress.
