Introduction

(1) The characteristics of die steel German micro-deformation wear-resistant oil steel, this steel is manganese, chromium, tungsten alloy steel, high-quality non-deformation cold work tool steel. The steel is an excellent oil-quenched mold steel with good impact toughness, temper softening resistance, machining performance, toughness retention, high compressive strength, and small heat treatment deformation.


When quenched and hardened, the size is extremely stable. After quenching, the surface hardness and toughness are extremely high, with high wear resistance, and good forging and quenching properties.


When grinding the mold after tempering, in order to prevent grinding cracks and surface softening, attention must be paid to sufficient cooling, proper grinding pressure, and reasonable processing technology.


If the mold undergoes EDM after quenching and tempering, the final stage of fine electrical discharge machining should be performed with a small current and high frequency. After the electrical discharge, the surface of the mold should be ground to remove the "EDM white layer", and another tempering should be added. The tempering temperature is about 25°C lower than before.

(4) The standard temperature of soft annealing is 750~800℃, with a cooling rate of 10~20℃/h, slowly furnace cooling to about 600℃, out of the furnace air cooling, hardness ≤215HBS.

(5) The standard annealing temperature for stress removal is 650℃, and the furnace cools slowly.

(6) Normal quenching and tempering specification, quenching temperature 780~820℃, oil quenching, tempering temperature 200℃/300℃/400℃, tempering hardness 62HRC/58HRC/52HRC.

(7) Recommended quenching and tempering specification, quenching preheating temperature 600~650℃, holding time 20min/25mm. Austenitizing temperature 800~850℃, holding time 20min/25mm, oil cooling.


Tempering temperature is 150~200℃, every 25mm keep for about 30min, air cooling.


When the tempering temperature is 250℃, the hardness is 58~59HRC, and the toughness is better; when the tempering temperature is 200℃, the hardness is 60~61HRC, and the hardness is higher.

② It is mainly used for all kinds of metal stamping dies and forming tools, such as cutting knife dies, tool die bushings.
